19th century oval pastel portrait of woman (possibly Venus) leading a child, both attired in classical style dress with flowers. Oval giltwood frame with beaded molding. Signed R. or A. Paulin. Sight – 31 1/2" H x 25 1/4" W. Framed – 39" H x 32 1/8" W. Condition: 10-12" crease at left side. Frame has three missing beads and scattered abrasions and smal cracks.
