Gilt bronze solar lamp, featuring a lotus design around the font and base, and stencil-decorated lotus design around shaft, on square base. Frame is encircled with prisms and holds a heavy, 1/3" thick frosted/clear glass shade which appears old and hand cut, but may not be original. 25"H. Unmarked. American or English, early 19th century. Condition: Modified for electricity. Some light abrasions and oxidation to metal surfaces. Some small chips to underside of shade where it sits in frame, 1/4" chip to top edge of shade, some minute scattered chips to prisms. Frame that holds prisms may not be original.
