Anthony (Tony) Robert Klitz (British, 1917-2000) oil on canvas, Impressionist style urban landscape depicting figures walking on a streetlight-lined sidewalk beside the Thames. The buildings of London are barely visible through fog in the background. Signed lower right. Giltwood frame with linen liner. 19-1/2" x 23-1/2" sight, 25" x 29" framed. Biography: Klitz studied painting and drawing at Cheltenham Art College and served in World War II. He later lived in Ireland. Klitz is best known for his Impressionist urban landscape paintings and depictions of London's watery light. (Source: Online Encyclopedia of Irish and World Art). Condition: Excellent condition.
