1st item: Kiyoshi Saito (Japan, 1907-1997) woodblock print depicting a woman walking through a village and balancing a branch on her head, two cross shapes visible in the background. Signed "Kiyoshi Saito" with a red seal, lower right. Hinge mounted to an off white mat. Sight: 10 1/4" H x 15 1/4" W. Sheet: 11 3/4" H x 17 1/2" W. Mat: 13 1/8" H x 19 1/4" W. 2nd item: Chinese watercolor and gouache on linen painting depicting the Eight Immortals crossing the ocean, most perched on various modes of transportation, including a fish, a frog, a crane, a gourd, and a lily pad. Black four character signature with a red seal, lower left. Mounted to a piece of cardstock. Linen: 13 3/4" H x 17" W. Cardstock: 14 1/8" H x 17" W. Late 19th/early 20th century. 3rd item: Japanese Kano School style ink and watercolor on paper painting depicting a folding hand fan with a landscape scene design against a flat, orange background. Unsigned. Handwritten label with Kano School attribution, en verso. 14 3/4" H x 24 1/4" W. 20th century. 4th-6th items: Three (3) Japanese woodblock prints, including one (1) after Suzuki Harunobu (Japan, 1724-1770), depicting male and female figures in interior settings and a view of Mt. Fuji. Interior scenes mounted to mats, Mt. Fuji print is unmounted. Sheets ranging in size from 7 3/8" H x 10 1/8" W x 12" H x 7 3/4" W. Late 19th/early 20th century.
CONDITION: All items in overall good condition. 2nd item: Toning/acid burn to linen. Creases, breaks to cardstock resulting in tears to linen, largest 5 1/2", to edges of painting; loss to bottom edge measuring 1" x 2 3/8", piece retained. 3rd item: Vertical fold creases to sheet, general scuffs and handling wear.
