1st item: Semi-Antique Caucasian Kazak rug, wool on wool. Four primary medallions of navy, green, cream, and red on a navy field within one primary foliate design border. Woven in colors of red, navy, green, yellow and cream. 5′ 8″ x 3′ 4″. 1st Qtr. 20th century. 2nd item: Southwest Persian bag, wool on wool, with central medallion and deer design, woven in red, blue, green, pink, gold, and cream colors. 21″ x 21 1/2″. Late 19th/Early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Estate of Judge John Nixon, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: 1st item: Overall good condition with overall general pile wear. Some scattered losses and knot heads to navy areas, and losses to fringed ends. 2nd time: Overall good condition, minor wear noted to the seams.
