Grouping of four (4) Historical Staffordshire items, including: one (1) Clews Historical States blue and white plate with scalloped rim, decorated with 15 state names encircling a vignette with bust of George Washington. Impressed Clews mark en verso, two (2) Enoch Woods & Sons blue and white historical plates titled "The Landing of the Father at Plymouth Dec 22, 1620" celebrating the 50th anniversary of American Independence, one with impressed mark and the larger with a blue stamped mark; and one (1) Staffordshire canary lustre cream pitcher with vignettes of Lafayette and the surrender of Cornwallis. Plates range in size from 8" to 9 3/4". Pitcher measures 4 1/4" H. English, mid-19th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Illinois Collection.
CONDITION: Smallest plate with one spider and staining to back and scattered wear to rim, medium plate with area of staining to rim and light general wear, large plate with light staining to lower rim and light wear, pitcher overall very good condition.
