Two (2) Mid 19th Century George Washington prints. 1st item: Mezzotint engraving titled "Washington at Home" engraved by Henry Bryan Hall, after the painting by Alonzo Chappel (New York, 1828-1887), published by The New York Engraving and Published Company, New York, 1867. Depicts George and Martha Washington together with their adopted children, George Washington Parke Custis and Eleanor Parke Custis. Housed under glass in a giltwood frame. Sight – 27 3/8" H x 20 3/4" W. Framed – 32 " H x 25 3/8" W. 2nd item: Colored lithograph titled "George Washington. First President of the United States." lithographed and published by Nathaniel Currier, New York, circa 1840. Depicts a three-quarter view portrait of Washington seated at a desk against a dark blue curtain backdrop. Housed under glass in a wooden frame. Sight – 11 5/8" H x 8 5/8" W. Framed – 16" H x 13 1/8" W. CONDITION: 1st item: Overall good condition with toning, areas of dampstaining. Not examined outside of frame. 2nd item: Overall good condition with toning/mat burn.
