Thai or Burmese sterling silver lobed form bowl having a scalloped rim and a repousse band depicting Buddhist figures on a scrolling foliate and mask background, with foliate mandala design to interior of bowl, all on four round ball feet. Character marks surrounded by foliate mandala design to underside of base. Tests sterling. 5" H x 9 1/4" dia. 16.575 total troy ounces. Likely19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Collection of Dr. Joe Newsom Rawlings, Davisboro, Georgia.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with normal surface wear, scattered dents, largest 3/4".
