Nine (9) English porcelain and ironstone items in the Imari palette, including Minton, Spode, Coalport and Mason. 1st item: Minton porcelain soup tureen with gilt finial and handles having alternating foliate vignettes, including one with pair of birds. Unmarked. Michael Davis retailer sticker to underside and interior of lid. 9" H x 13" W x 8 1/2" D. Early 19th century. 2nd-5th items: Two (2) porcelain sauce tureens with two (2) underplates having gilt finial and handles with alternating vignettes of foliate and insect or bird scenes, including one (1) tureen and (1) underplate attributed to Coalport. All unmarked. Both approx. 5 3/8" H x 7" W x 4 3/8" D. Underplates: 6 3/8" H x 8 3/8" W. 6th-7th items: Two (2) porcelain soup plates with landscape vignette surrounded by foliate forms with gilt accents throughout, including one (1) Spode plate with maker's mark to underside (9 5/8" dia.), and one (1) marked "967" to underside (10 1/8" dia.). 8th item: Oval porcelain tray, attributed to Worcester, with central landscape vignette and foliate patterned rim. Unmarked. 7 5/8" H x 11 1/4" W. 9th item: Mason's ironstone plate with central lotus flower, foliate surround, and geometric patterned rim. Maker's mark impressed to underside; John Leslie Antiques label affixed to underside. 9 1/2" dia. All items early to mid 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Tina McWhorter Trust; from the collection of John and Tina McWhorter, Memphis, Tennessee.
CONDITION: All items with scattered minor wear to polychrome and gilt decoration. Soup tureen with hairline measuring 10 1/2" L. Both sauce tureens with minor residue to underside of lid. One soup plate with loss to underside of rim measuring 3/8" x 1" and minor residue to underside.
