English faux tortoise shell veneered silver plated oval biscuit box. Silverplated foliate finial over an oval hinged lid with gadrooned edges, curved sides featuring lion mask handles, on a gadrooned base supported on four paw feet. Unmarked. 20th century. Overall: 8"H x 13"W x 9"D.
PROVENANCE: The collection of Dr. Ken and Linda Moore.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with some wear to silver plating on lion mask handles and edges. Some slight lifting to edges of "tortoise" veneers.
