After John James Audubon (American, 1785-1851) chromolithograph, Plate # 255 from Birds of America, depicting the male and female Belted Kingfisher, with landscape background. Printed by J. Bien, New York, 1860. Laid on card stock board with white archival tape and housed in a molded silver-gilt frame with mid 20th century label en verso for Hazel's Frame Shop, Memphis, TN. Sight – 37 1/2" H x 25" W. Framed – 40 1/2" H x 27 7/8" W. CONDITION: 9" crease or possible repair to upper right corner and scattered other, smaller and lighter creases. Dampstaining with three 2"L tears to lower 4" of print. 1" tear left side margin. A few scattered light spots of foxing. Abrasions to frame.
