Two (2) Blountville (Sullivan County, East Tennessee) identified Confederate Civil War carte de visites, one inscribed in pencil en verso “Jas A. Rhea, 1st Lt. Co. G, 19th Tenn. CSA,” bust length portrait of the soldier in his uniform (4-1/8″ H x 2-1/2″ W), and the other pencil inscribed en verso “E. Howard Bountville Tenn” along with other illegible writing, oval waist length portrait of the soldier holding his gun (3-7/8″ H x 2-3/8″ W. Condition: 1st CDV with some toning, overall very good condition. 2nd CDV with some overall toning and spotting. Old envelope glue stain en verso obscuring writing.
