Two (2) Grand Tour Anglo Indian miniature paintings, one depicting partial ruins with a minaret and mosque, the other depicting the interior of an Islamic temple or palace, housed under glass. Both miniatures having black hardwood frames with elaborate foliate carved decorations, terminating in two claw feet, with gilt sight edges. Sight: 3" H x 4" W. Framed: 6 1/2" H x 6 7/8" W. 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Raymond White, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with scattered surface scratches and a couple of tiny losses to paintings; some scratches to glass and minor wear to relief carving of frames; one metal kickstand missing.
