4 English 18th Century Porcelain items. 1st-2nd items: Pair (2) Chelsea porcelain polychrome candlesticks, the candle cups supported on molded flower encrusted shafts with figural exotic birds, all on a rocaille scrolling base. Stamped with red anchor makers mark to undersides. 10 3/8" H x approx. 4 3/4" dia. 3rd-4th items: Two (2) Dr. Wall Worcester oval porcelain dishes including one (1) with scalloped rim, molded basket weave design, naturalistic handles, and polychrome insect and flower decorations, stamped with gold makers mark to underside (2 3/4" H x 12 1/4" W x 9" D); and one (1) pierced basket with naturalistic handles and applied rosettes, two old paper labels to underside (3" H x 7 3/8" W x 6 1/4" D). All items late 18th/early 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: 1st-2nd items: Both bobeches with previous repairs; both with scattered minute wear to polychrome decoration. One candlestick with loss of glaze below bobeche, measuring 1/4" x 1/2". 3rd-4th items: Both items with minor scattered wear to decoration. Scalloped dish with craquelure throughout and minute fleabites to rim. Basket with minute fleabite to handle and minor residue to underside.
