Antique Caucasian Daghestan or Degestan Village prayer rug, wool on wool, central mihhab with stylized floral and deer designs on a navy field within three primary foliate borders. 6ft 10in x 3ft 8in. Circa 1890’s.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: Moderate pile wear to the center, both margins with wear/losses and wear to all corners and both fringed ends.
