Hinged lid with mirror to the underside opens to interior fitted with two divided tea compartments with covers, retains key. 5 1/2" H x 7 7/8" W x 4 3/4" D. 2nd item: English mahogany sarcophagus or coffin form tea caddy. The interior fitted with two divided tea compartments with covers, resting on ball feet. 5" H x 7 1/2" W x 4 1/2" D. 3rd item: Miniature English silver inlaid rosewood tantalus, fitted with two cut glass bottles. 4 3/4" H x 4 1/4" W x 2 1/2" D. All boxes 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Collection of Michael and Peggy Mahoney, by descent from the historic homes of Clarkland Farm at Bryan's Station and Cherrycote, Lexington, Kentucky.
CONDITION: 1st item: One ring handle missing, otherwise overall good condition. Mirror with minor scattered desilvering or wear. 2nd item: Minor wear and losses to lid corners and to inner compartment lids, overall good condition. 3rd item: Lid not attached to the base, otherwise overall good condition.
