Grouping of East Tennessee chairs. 1st item: East Tennessee windsor chair, probably Sullivan Co., with a stepped crest rail, losenge turnings, and shaped seat. Mixed woods. 15" x 16 1/2" x 34". 1st half of 19th century. 2nd item: East Tennessee ladder back chair, probably Sullivan Co., highly figured walnut stiles with ball turned finials and arched slats. Size 15 1/2" x 18 1/4" x 36". 1st half of 19th century. 3rd item: East Tennessee one-drawer walnut stand with turned Sheraton legs. 27 1/8" x 23 7/8" x 19 1/4". Circa 1835. Provenance: Estate of Elsie Weed, Kingsport, TN.
