Chinese gilt bronze tripodal censer or incense burner, low round form with twin handles, resting on a gilt bronze wave design tripodal stand. Underside of censer with likely apocryphal six character Xuande mark. 4 1/4" H x approx. 6 1/2" dia. Overall with stand: 5 1/2" H. Late 19th/early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Tina McWhorter Trust; from the collection of John and Tina McWhorter, Memphis, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Scattered minor surface wear and areas of oxidation commensurate with age.
