Antique Turkmen Tekke Khalyk, wool on wool. The top with three pentagonal-shaped panels having brown grounds with flower basket designs, within floral borders and with a long fringe along the lower edge. Woven in red, salmon, and brown colors. 5ft 10in x 2ft 4in. Circa 1870's.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with losses to the top border, and some minor losses to unwoven open areas of the top panels. Velcro added en verso for hanging.
