One card is a framed photo of the White House, the other two cards depict interior scenes of the White House. Printed inscription and signatures by the President and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy. Inscriptions read "With our appreciation and best wishes for a happy Christmas". One card retains a red White House label en verso. Ranging in size from: Overall, 15 1/2" H x 18 1/2" W to 21 3/4" H x 23" W. 4th item: Book titled "Season's Greetings from the White House" by Mary Evans Seeley. Narrative on the Collection of Presidential Christmas Cards, messages and gifts given by Presidents, including Coolidge through Clinton. Printed in 1996. 11 1/8 x 8 5/8. Provenance: From the estate of Captain Gordon Wells, member of the Secret Service's Uniformed Division, the White House Police, from 1943 through 1967. During his tenure, Wells received mementos from sitting Presidents and First ladies of 5 administrations, from Franklin Roosevelt through Lyndon B. Johnson. CONDITION: 1st-3rd items: Overall very good condition, not examined out of the frames. 4th item: Dustcover with wear, front cover page with signature, otherwise overall good condition.
