European oil on copper painting of Christ crowned with thorns and presented to the crowd prior to his crucifixion, 19th c. or earlier. Housed in a giltwood frame. Sight: 5 3/16" W x 7 3/16" H. Frame: 9 1/2" W x 11" H.
CONDITION: Soiling and surface grime throughout. With creasing, largest area 4" L, and cracks to lower left edge and legs of figure at left, largest 3/4" L. Frame with wear, soiling, and chipping along with two holes and loose corners.
