Middle Tennessee cherry sugar chest, poplar secondary. Square form with post and panel construction, interior well bisected by a divider, top with half round molding, dovetailed drawer, turned Sheraton feet. 34 1/2" H x 24" W x 20 1/8" D. Provenance: Private Franklin, Tennessee collection; descended in a Maury county family. Circa 1835. Condition: Refinished, top lid hinges missing, top with newer spliced strip in the middle, wear to rail above drawer, pulls on drawer replaced.
