Chinese hardwood table and Chinoiserie Dressing Mirror (2 items). 1st item: Chinese hardwood low table, through-tenon construction; square waisted top over squared legs with shaped stretchers. Old Chinese writing and remnant of old sticker to underside. 15 3/4" H x 30" square. Late 19th/Early 20th century. 2nd item: Queen Anne style chinoiserie red-lacquered dressing or shaving mirror with parcel gilt landscape and foliate decorations, flat cabriole style feet and hinged support stand having a suede string attachment. Mirror approximately 15 1/2" H x 13 3/4" W. Overall: 20 3/8" H x 15 3/4" W. Probably English,19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Raymond White, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: 1st item: Shrinkage and some dark and light stains to top, overall light wear, legs shortened. 2nd item: Overall craquelure and scattered losses to lacquer and veneer as well as discoloration to back. Mirror with scattered surface scratches, desilvering, and areas of crazing.
