Two cherry East Tennessee one drawer tables, both attributed to Greene Co. 1st item – Large cherry one drawer work table with reeded molding around drawer front, square nail drawer construction, turned legs with tapered foot. Yellow pine secondary. 27 1/2"H x 29 1/8"W x 26 1/2"D. Second quarter 19th century. 2nd item – Small cherry one drawer stand with beveled edge drawer front and dovetailed drawer, turned legs. Poplar secondary. 28"H x 20 7/8"W x 19"D. Second quarter 19th century. Provenance: Betty Irene Yates estate, Greeneville, TN. Condition: 1st item – refinished, minor abrasions to surface, screws securing top underside modern. 2nd item – refinished throughout, screws securing top modern, apron is not the exact length on each side and base is not fastened completely square to top, possibly indicating table has been reworked.
