Italian Majolica jardiniere and accompanying stand in the style of Giorgio Andreoli (1470-1555). Decorated in the Renaissance style with arabesques, graffito, and floras in various polychrome colors on a white ground. The shaped jardiniere rests on a tripartite footed base which surmounts a matching pedestal with pierced panels supported on scrolled legs. One foot of the jardiniere marked with partial initials, the top of the stand with conjoined initials E or G. M. Jardiniere and Stand: 41" H x 24" dia. 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with professional restoration to the stand and the rim of the jardiniere. and to one leg of the stand.
