New York Coin Silver Tea Service, four pieces including teapot and covered sugar bowl, both having lids with flower form finials, plus cream jug and waste bowl. Teapot and creamer are marked J & I Cox N York in rectangles on undersides (John and James Cox, working N.Y. 1817-1853), sugar and waste bowls are unmarked. All pieces are of identical lobed form with bands of anthemion decoration at upper and middle sections and around the bases, and are monogrammed TRP. Teapot has additional anthemion leaf decoration at spout and measures 11"H. 109.86 total troy ounces. Condition: Teapot has small early repair to underside of spout; handle is slightly loose; some slight, minor denting to lid of sugar bowl at edge, overall good condition.
