Octavos, 3,691 total pages printed on Japan vellum paper, including frontispieces and illustrations with tissue paper guards, three-quarter green leather with marbled-paper sides, gilt trim to covers and gilt lettering to spines, five raised hubs to each spine, marbled end papers, gilt edged pages. Approximately 8 5/8" H x 6" W x 1 5/8" D. Provenance: the collection of Frank Ingraham, Tap Root Farm, Franklin, Tennessee. CONDITION: Overall good condition with wear, foxing spots, toning, areas of dampstaining/acid burn, pencil inscriptions, etc. to be expected from age and manner of use. Does not include volume VII. Illustrations are collated.
