American Hepplewhite chest of drawers with serpentine skirt and splayed French feet. Three over three graduated dovetailed drawers with cockbeading, retains old, possibly original oval brass pulls. Cherry top with mahogany veneer banding around sides, cherry sides, mahogany veneered drawer fronts, skirt with inlay band, brass escutcheons. Poplar and white pine secondary. 42 1/2" W x 38 3/4" H x 19 1/8" D. Mid Atlantic. Circa 1815. Provenance: Estate of Elsie Weed, Kingsport, TN. Condition: Overall very good condition with older refinish, minor mahogany veneer repairs, original feet with original blocking underside.
