1st-2nd items: Two (2) Ghandara international style buddha heads, one carved out of wood and the other silver, with possible illegible marking on reverse side. Sizes ranging from: 2 1/2" W x 4" H x 3" D. 20th century. 3rd item: Tibetan bronze singing bowl with calligraphy decoration and five seated Buddha motifs on the interior base of the bowl, together with a wood turned mallet. Bowl: 5 1/2" W x 2 1/2" H. Mallet: 7" L. 20th century. 4th item: Silver mounted wood cup with repousse decoration, ball feet, and an incised label reading "Paraguay 28. 05.12" with silver straw/stirrer, both marked .800. Cup: 3" W x 4" H. Straw: 6" L. 20th century. 5th-6th items: Pair (2) Japanese black lacquer baluster form vases mounted and fitted as lamps, having inlaid gilt wire decorations of komainu, shishi, or foo dogs among clouds to neck and body, terminating in black hardwood bases having gilt floral decorations and four feet. Both are wired for electricity and include harps. Both approximately 32 1/2" H x 6 1/2" dia. 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Raymond White, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: 1st-2nd items: Wooden Buddha head with split to wood measuring 5 1/2" L; otherwise both in overall good condition. 3rd item: Overall good condition with minute surface scratches. 4th item: Overall good condition with minor surface wear. 5th-6th items: Both functional at time of inspection. Numerous areas of impact crackle, hairlines, areas of loss, repair, and inpainting to lamps and bases. General surface grime. Mountings are loose. Does not include shades. Lamp is fixed to the wood base.
