Biography: In 1929, Jessie presented Bertha a small handmade basket as a marriage proposal. His work is featured in the book BASKETS AND BASKET MAKERS IN SOUTHERN APPALACHIA, written by John Rice Irwin (1982). Condition: All three are in very good condition with minor surface grime.
