Royal Vienna hand-painted porcelain charger titled "Verstosung der Hagar" depicting Abraham expelling Hagar and their son Ishmael as his wife Sarah observes from behind and his son Isaac looks on from beneath his robes, surrounded by alternating grisaille portraits and urn medallions to enameled gilt rim. Makers mark and title to underside. 14 1/2" dia. Austrian, late 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Minute surface scratches to lower quarter of scene. Area of wear to gilt at rim meausuring 7/8" x 4". Old label remnant to underside.
