Lady's 14k yellow gold oval compact decorated with floral, foliate and scroll motifs on both sides with hand engraved monogram in central cartouche. Compact opens with a blue cabochon stone push-pin to reveal a mirror to one side and two separate compartments on the other side. 2-1/8" H x 1-7/8" W plus 1/4" bale. Compact is unmarked but tested to be 14k. 44.2 grams gross weight including mirror. Monogrammed "NBB" for Naomi Boal Blunt who was married to Allen Robert Blount of Pitt County, North Carolina and New York, NY. Provenance: Maryville, TN collection. Condition: Overall very good condition. Mirror has minor paint loss but no chips or cracks. Compact is monogrammed "NBB."
