2 East Tennessee split oak buttock baskets, attributed Greene County, possibly John Ray. 1st item: Large split oak buttocks basket with fixed handle and foundation weavers secured at rim with nails. 9 1/4" H x 11 1/2" W x 9 1/4" D. 2nd Item: Split oak buttocks basket with fixed handle and foundation weavers secured at rim with nails. 4 3/4" H x 6" W x 4 3/4" D. Both late 19th/early 20th century. Condition: 1st item: Minor wear on bottom and interior of basket with light surface grime. 2nd item: One minor loose weave on handle. Small paint scuff on bottom of basket, as well as minor wear. Interior of basket has multiple paint stains. Light surface grime.
