John William Carey (Ireland, 1859-1937) watercolor painting, "Lagan 2nd Locks". Signed J W Carey, 1919 on lower left, and "Lagan 2nd Locks" lower right. Depicting the Lagan River in Ireland with woman and child walking along path and three other figures in background. Pencil title below image not fully legible. Condition – Overall good condition with one dirt spot in upper right sky area. Sight: 5 3/4" H X 9 1/4" W. Matted: 8 3/4" H X 13 3/4" W. Note: (courtesy of AskART) Carey's works have been featured in Ulster Hall and the Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin, Ireland. Early 20th Century.
