Pair of small Neoclassical style parcel gilt and polychrome painted pine console tables, each having a five sided top with polychrome paint simulating stone, over a conforming frieze with applied giltwood ribbon, swag and rosette carved moldings, supported on a single tapering square leg with fluting at top and gilt molded husk and leaf decoration on a square foot. Each 36" H x 22" W x 11" D. Italian, 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Barbara K. Lipman, Memphis, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Wear, losses, and alligatoring to paint. One leg with loss to leaf carving near foot. Shrinkage splits to top of one table, largest measuring 15 1/2" L.
