Madison County, Tennessee wardrobe (1845-1855) Cherry primary with poplar secondary woods in original finish. Ogee molded cornice over two long paneled doors, on bracket feet. Illustrated in "The Art and Mystery of Tennessee Furniture" by Nathan Harsh and Derita Williams, page 237, figure 227. 94 3/4" height x 55 3/4" width, 20 5/8" Depth. 19th century. Provenance: Purchased from a house in Denmark, Tennessee; Collection of Grace Tankersley of Knoxville. Condition: Good condition with original finish, various abrasions expected for age.
