Pair of two (2) German KPM Neoclassical covered urns with hand-painted polychrome and parcel gilt battle scene vignettes, floral garlands, and having figural ram's head handles, with figural putti finials to lids, and turquoise and pink embellishments; bolt mounted to plinth bases. Both with blue scepter maker's mark to undersides. 17 7/8" H x 7 3/4" W x 6 1/2" D. Late 19th/early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Scattered minor losses to one putto's hand, flower, and ram's horn embellishments. Scattered minor areas of restoration, including some flower petals and arm of one putto. Minor wear to gilt on rim on one lid.
