Large Meiji Kutani Charger or Low Bowl in the Satsuma style, decorated with vignettes containing figures engaged in court and leisure activities, on a pale blue and gilt background decorated with flowers, scrolls, fans and other motifs. Exterior rim, reverse, decorated with fungi and prunus designs. Signed. 16" diameter. Late 19th century.
CONDITION: Excellent condition with only a few minor spots of wear to gilt trim.
