19th century gilt framed watercolor miniature on ivory, portrait of a blue-eyed gentleman seated in a bright red chair. Housed in a highly carved gilt and gesso wooden frame. Sight – 3 7/8" H x 3" W. Framed – 11 3/4" H x 10 3/4" W. English or American, circa 1820. Condition: Two cracks to right side of miniature, one the height of the miniature and the other in the lower right corner. Wear and cracklure to frame.
