Biscuit de Sevres bust of the American statesman Benjamin Franklin, modeled after the 18th-century example by Jean-Antoine Houdon (1741-1828), with sitter depicted as an older gentlemean wearing an overcoat, waistcoat, and cravat. Impressed oval mark together with the initials CR to underside. Mounted on a round cobalt porcelain glazed base titled FRANKLIN and marked S95. 13 1/4" H x 8 3/4" W. 1st Qtr. 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Edward Laudermilk, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: A couple of errant marks to the back, otherwise overall very good condition.
