New England Hepplewhite mahogany and flame mahogany inlaid server or serving table, pine secondary. Comprised of an overhanging molded top above two full length dovetailed drawers with line inlay and finely figured veneers, oval brass pulls, and pull out slide having brass pulls between the drawers. Tall tapering Hepplewhite legs with line inlay are extensions of stiles. Appears to have a museum accession number on the back corner, "117.1920". 38 1/2" H x 31 3/4" W x 19 1/2" D. First quarter of the 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Patricia Kiegel, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Refinished. Top with expected general wear, top and sides with areas of wood shrinkage. One drawer with minor buildup of drawer sides and reinforcement of drawer supports. Pulls appear old but not original.
