Two (2) President Andrew Jackson (1767-1845) Ohio land grants, one signed by President Jackson. 1st item: President Jackson signed land document, granting Joseph Vance, assignee of John W. S. Samuel Vance, "the North half of Section thirty three in Township five, of Range Twelve (between the Miami Rivers) containing three hundred and twenty eight acres of the Lands directed to be sold at Cincinnati Ohio by Act of Congress, entitled 'An Act providing for the Sale of the lands of the United States in Territory north west of Ohio, and above the mouth of the Kentucky River'" dated December 1830. Housed in a black wooden frame. Sheet – 9 1/4" H x 14" W. Framed – 16 1/4" H x 21 1/4" W. 2nd item: President Jackson land document signed by Private Secretary Andrew Jackson Donelson, granting Samuel Line of Marion County "the East half of South East quarter of section three in Township four South, of Range Sixteen, in the District of Land subject to the sale at Tiffin, Ohio, containing eighty acres" dated June 1, 1832, signed by the President April 15, 1833. Housed in a wooden frame. Sheet – 10" H x 16" W. Framed – 17 1/4" H x 23 1/4" W. Provenance: Private Knox County, TN collection. CONDITION: 1st item: Overall good condition. Jackson signature slightly faded but clear. Toning around edged of sheet. 2nd item: Overall good condition. Ink of Jackson signature slightly disintegrated but clear. "A" of secretary Jackson obscured by 1/2" smudge. Toning around edges of sheet and fold lines. Minute foxing spots, dampstaining, edges of sheet. Areas of wear to paper, largest 1 3/8", top right of sheet.
