Group of Chinese Canton and Spode English porcelain dinnerware, all with blue and white Chinese style decoration. Grouping includes 1 soup tureen with boar head handles and helmet feather finial, 2 platters, 1 teapot with domed lid, 2 soup plates with rice decorated rims marked CHINA to underside; 4 Spode Copeland willow style soup plates with gilt rims; 2 Canton 10" plates, and 1 Canton 9" plate. Platters measure 17 x 14 and 16" x 13". Tureen 14" x 10" x 7". All items 19th century except the rice plates, which likely date early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Nashville collection.
CONDITION: Spode soup plates: 1/3" shallow rim chip to 1 bowl, all with wear to gilt. The 17" x 14" platter has a 3" hairline to rim. The 16" x 13" platter has been broken in several places and repaired. 9" Canton plate has a 2" hairline. Other pieces very good condition.
