Two (2) Confederate frame buckles, including Gutterback and Beveled Edge. 1st item: Enlisted man's "Gutterback" sand cast brass frame buckle. 58 mm x 65 mm (2.28" x 2.56"). 2nd item: Large "Beveled Edge" sand cast waist plate. 58 mm x 72 mm (2.28" x 2.83"). Both items include letters of authentication from Nick Periut of Army of Tennessee Relics, Knoxville, TN. Provenance: Estate of Jim Maconkey, Landrum, SC. Note: Plates were dug by Bill Dixon near Corinth, MS. See "Confederate Belt Buckles and Plates" by Steve E. Mullinax, 1999, pages 94-99. CONDITION: Both items in excellent, dug condition.
