Venetian Rococo style serpentine form commode, paint-decorated in bouquets of flowers set into ochre panels, all on a teal green background. The shaped serpentine top surmounts three long drawers and is supported on cabriole legs. 35" x 45" x W x 20" D. Late 19th/early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with wear commensurate with age, including a slightly warped top, minor restoration to the painted finish, and overall light general wear.
