2 Folk Art carved figural canes. 1st item – Carved folk art cane depicting a man with top hat, probably Native American, having a snake carved shaft with black dot decoration. Twisted leather through base of head carving with attached wood carvings at each end. Two carvings on one end include crosses. Metal ferrule tip. 35" L. Late 19th/Early 20th century. 2nd item – Carved folk art walking stick having a carved fist handle, card suite spade, diamond, heart, and club design below the handle. Red polychromed compressed ball spacers. Possibly Civil War reunion or Gambling related. 38" L. Late 19th century. Condition: 1st item- Overall general wear with break to tip of hat. 2nd item – Overall general wear with one break to tip of thumb.
