Napoleon III tantulus cordial set consisting of a serpentine shaped, ebonized rosewood case with boulle brass inlay, elaborately engraved with leaves, griffins and lions. Hinged cover opens to reveal four Baccarat style (unmarked) decanters and twenty-four (24) cut glass cordial glasses with gilt decoration. Interior tray with gilt bronze mounts and scrolled feet. 12" H x 16 3/4" W x 13 1/2" D. French, last half 19th century. CONDITION: Overall very good condition, lower left rear corner with lacquer wood loss, case rear right foot missing.
