Uzbekistan Suzani hand-embroidered textile, overall medallion design with scrolling foliate designs throughout. Wrought in bright colors of pink, blue, red, green, and brown, embroidered on a cream cotton foundation. 8 ft. x 5 ft. 11 in. 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: Some scattered staining, losses to weaving, primarily to dark pink/red colors. A few scattered holes in the cotton foundation.
