Ebert (Wisconsin/Connecticut, 1873-1959) small oil on board painting depicting an industrial harbor with several steamships docked along a waterway as factory buildings recede into the distance. Signed lower left, with additional signature en verso. Housed in a speckled giltwood frame. Sight: 5 7/8" H x 7 7/8" W. Frame: 8 7/8" H x 11" W. 2nd item: Albert Edel (France/Massachusetts, 1894-1970) small oil on paper laid to board industrial harbor scene set at sunset, with a steamboat before a distant factory. Depicted in hues of orange and purple. Signed lower left. Housed in an ornate giltwood frame. Sight: 4 3/4" H x 5 3/4" W. Frame: 11" H x 11 3/4" W. 3rd item: Albert Edel oil on board seaside harbor scene with several boats on the beach and another anchored in the water nearby. Two masts bearing flags rise into the sky. Signed lower left. Housed in a giltwood frame. Sight: 6 3/4" H x 4 3/4" W. Frame: 7 11/16" H x 5 3/4" W.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carl Klein, Brentwood, Tennessee.
CONDITION: All paintings in very good condition overall. 2nd item with area of blistering to lower center, 2 1/2" L, and fine craquelure throughout. Frames with minor wear and gilt loss.
