Two (2) Charley Harper (Ohio/West Virginia, 1922-2007) signed items, including a book and a lithograph print. 1st item: Author Signed and Inscribed Charles Harper's Bird and Words, First Edition, published by The Frame House Gallery, Inc., Louisville, 1974. Oblong 16mo, 151 pages including index and 61 reproduction images of Harper's silk screen prints from his "Ten Western Birds", "America's Vanishing Birds", "Ten Southern Birds", American Bird Architects", "American Bird Census" and "Ten Collector Prints" series, hardbound in grey cloth with black pictorial front cover and white lettering to front cover and spine, pictorial end papers, includes dust jacket. Author inscription in ink reads "To Debbie–/A Neat Chick I/Chatted with in the/Magic Kingdom of/Upper Tennessee/Charley Harper/4/11/81/" with pencil signature below. 6 3/4" H x 8 3/4" W x 1 1/4" D. 2nd item: Open edition lithograph titled "Eagological Event" published by The Frame House Gallery, 1976. Signed "C. Harper" in the image, lower right, signed "C. Harper" in pencil, lower right under the image, publication information and date, lower left under image. Housed in a folder with printed text reading "You are invited…" top right of cover, printed text reading "the enclosed print was designed by Charles Harper who will be in attendance to sign it for you." lower left of interior. Includes envelope and a printed advertisement of his "Hexit" print, obverse, an artist biography, reverse. Lithograph – 11 1/8" H x 8 5/8" W. Folder – 11 3/8" H x 8 7/8" W. Envelope – 12 1/8" H x 9 1/4" W. Late 20th century. CONDITION: 1st item: Tears, largest 7/8", toning, shelf wear to dust jacket. Fading, areas of dampstaining to covers. Pages in overall very good condition with light toning. Images are collated. 2nd item: Print and folder in overall good condition with foxing spots, largest 1/2", and light toning. Crease across top of folder. Toning, 3 1/4" piece of old masking tape to envelope. Foxing spots, tears, 1" x 1 1/2" area missing from top left corner of advertisement.
